Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and her were two of the earliest winners of the Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July of 1971. Alison is a bluegrass and country singer. She entered the music industry at an early age winning local contests by 10, before recording for the first time when she was 14 years old. The year 1987 was when she released her first solo album, after joining Rounder Records. After that, she was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs together. Her debut album in a group with this band came out in the year 1989.
