Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be one of the greatest gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became one of the U.S.'s only female gymnast ever to earn 4 gold medals. Biles also took home the world title for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles was raised at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Biles and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was first introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her daycare instructor Aimee Borman at 6 years old. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles has won silver and gold medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 on the floor and vault before her debut in 2011 with the elite division of competition. Less than two years later she dominated the sport. Biles stood out for her consistency in performance, vivacious personality as well as the difficult routines she performed across each of the four events such as vault, uneven bars, and balance beam.
