Kari Sam Wuhrer, born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders as well as her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a car salesman. The couple has three brothers. The singer began performing in nightclubs as a teenager and often would leave her house in order to perform. She began studying acting at her 13th birthday at Wooster School. Later, she studied drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with famed instructor Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer, a model from Connecticut is an American model, actress and singer.
